At the current 2012 National Plastics Industry Chain Technical Exchange and Market Matchmaking Conference and Shenyang Kangping Plastic Trade Fair, co-sponsored by China Plastics Processing Industry Association and Shenyang Municipal People's Government, Vice President of China National Light Industry Association, China Plastics Processing Qian Guijing, chairman of the Industrial Association, made an important speech, analyzed the current status of the plastic knitting industry, and proposed development proposals.

Qian Guijing pointed out that the plastic knitting industry is an important part of the plastics industry. By the end of 2011, there were more than 7,500 plastic weaving professional production enterprises in the country, with more than 500,000 employees and more than 300,000 circular looms. The comprehensive production capacity is about 15 million tons. According to statistics compiled by the committee, in 2011, the output of plastic products in the country was 8.542 million tons, an increase of 21.06% over the same period of last year. The growth rate was 2.01 percentage points lower than that of the previous year, and the output value was about 115 billion yuan. According to preliminary estimates, in 2011, the output of plastic products in the whole society was about 12.1 million tons, an increase of 23.5% year-on-year, and the output value was about 132 billion yuan. Its output has ranked first in the world.

At the same time, he pointed out that while summing up the results of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", it is necessary to calmly look at the gap between China's plastics processing industry and the plastic knitting industry compared with advanced countries. The outstanding problems in the plastic knitting industry are: low production concentration, large number of small enterprises, and small scale. In 2011, there were 7,600 enterprises in the whole industry, with an average size of only 1,600 tons. Second, the product structure is unreasonable, and the proportion of medium and low grades is large. Because the entry threshold is not high, the proportion of low-end products is further increased, while the products representing higher grades such as tons of container bags account for only 11%. Third, overcapacity, low-level, homogenization tends to become more and more prominent. The "price war" between enterprises is fierce. In order to reduce costs, individual enterprises use recycled materials and fillers to impact the market with low-quality and low-priced products, which seriously affects the production and operation order of the industry and jeopardizes the product quality and reputation. Fourth, the technical strength is weak, the innovation ability is not strong, and some enterprises have backward technological and technical equipment.
